After a whole day of crappy weather and unruly skies, mother nature decided to let up and let Vans appropriately hold their Bowl-A-Rama Event and mystify everyone who came out to watch these incredible individuals showcase their talent.
The multi talented Pedro Barros and surprisingly young skater of 17 proved his worth with his incredible victory of 4 championships within this event. He pulled out a collective of tricks including high indy 540′s and a mean back tail slide that topped it off. Bucky Lasek did what he does best and shredded the bowl apart and snagged the 2nd place spot followed by another legend of Rune Gilfberg who took in 3rd. The Vans Bowl-A-Rama podium stood exactly how it did last year, same look and all.
Denmark’s native professional veteran Nicky Guerrero bullied Steve Caballero out of the way to capture and hold the Masters title with a great deal of consistency along with an innovative set skill of different stunts and tricks.

With an abundance of skate competitions and contests going on committed skaters have been able to show off their hard work with Gold medals and big checks. In this case the Dew Tour Pantech Beach Championship took place in Ocean City, Maryland last weekend. This highly anticipated event covered three themes including the bowl competion, vert, & the mega ramp to conclude it.
The contest took a twist in regards to the semi’s and the latter. Bucky Lasek took first in the semi’s but was out skated by Pierre-Luc Gagnon during the final. The following day on sunday led to an abrupt ending of the Skate Bowl tournament due to mother nature and the rain. The prior runs they had before that mishap would determine the end results with Pedro Barros being named the victor.
Lastly but not least 12yr old skater Tom Schaar snagged the number one spot and bested Bob Brusquest with a insane 1080. Twelve years old and killing it, look for big things to come out of this inspiring skater.

Skating has no boundaries and limitations. It doesn’t matter where you’re from, whether its the frosty climate of Europe or the tropical aura of the islands. The sport of skating runs deep through the veins of countries everywhere. In this case, a skater from London and Jamaica proved it. One Distribution was pleased to announce the induction of two amazing skaters of Lucien Clarke as well as Chewy Cannon. The two skaters were split up behind One Distribution’s powerhouse brands. Lucien Clarke is officially enlisted under the Supra team. The ambitious twenty-four year old made his journey through an array of living arrangements while harnessing the essence of his talent. Chewy Cannon made his way to the scene coming out of a barren landscape. He grew up on the coast of England in a city by the name of Great Yarmouth. As a true seed of the sport, Chewy declared his own path and destiny despite the rugged landscape of nowhere that he grew up in. Due to his hard work and many painkillers, Chewy is officially riding for the Krew team.
With all in all being said, make it happen.

The greatest moment of the day may have been after he was announced the winner. With the title already in hand, he was guaranteed a Victory, but he still had one attempt left in the Big Section. It didn’t matter whether he landed it or wiped out, but he decided to pull out a flawless kick flip backside nose blunt right down the railing.
Bastien Salabanzi made his return to the country to place second with an earning of $40,000. If Bastien landed his kick flip frontside boar slide he may have had a chance to give Nyjah a run for his money. But nonetheless, this summer is going to be one hell of a ride.
