Ever wondered what it feels like to shred with the pro’s? If you ever had the opportunity I’m sure it was a good one, or maybe not since they busted your chops at s.k.a.t.e. Well in this case, Vans and Pro-Tec gave us the option to have some kind of connection with these guys. They mic’d up some of our favorite skaters during a bowl session that gave us the feeling of being there.
Its pretty cool to hear Jesse Fritsch telling Tony Hawk and Bucky Lasek which tricks to do. It was a unique experience providing the different aspect of their use of audio. It has been a pleasure, and were definitely looking forward to the actual Pro-Tec pool party competition. Stay Tuned!

The first step for a skater to be recognized can be a number of things. It all starts with dedication, commitment, and hard work. It could start with the first day you stepped on your board. The dedication aspect will tie into your development as a skater, whether it may be a few injuries or countless pairs of shoes to damage. In the end you reap what you sow, and if you think you have what it takes, then the opportunity is here for the taking.
Element along with the Berrics have been hosting a contest across the nation for an opportunity to prove yourself. Its not too late to compete in the finals, all you have to do is send in a one minute video of yourself at any skatepark showcasing your best tricks. The winner of the finals will not only take a completely paid trip, but they’ll be able to spend a day at the Berrics with the Element crew, along with the possibility to be sponsored by Element as well.

Skating has no boundaries and limitations. It doesn’t matter where you’re from, whether its the frosty climate of Europe or the tropical aura of the islands. The sport of skating runs deep through the veins of countries everywhere. In this case, a skater from London and Jamaica proved it. One Distribution was pleased to announce the induction of two amazing skaters of Lucien Clarke as well as Chewy Cannon. The two skaters were split up behind One Distribution’s powerhouse brands. Lucien Clarke is officially enlisted under the Supra team. The ambitious twenty-four year old made his journey through an array of living arrangements while harnessing the essence of his talent. Chewy Cannon made his way to the scene coming out of a barren landscape. He grew up on the coast of England in a city by the name of Great Yarmouth. As a true seed of the sport, Chewy declared his own path and destiny despite the rugged landscape of nowhere that he grew up in. Due to his hard work and many painkillers, Chewy is officially riding for the Krew team.
With all in all being said, make it happen.

Theres much more to Jeff Ament than you may know. Aside from being majorly successful in music, he thrives on the opportunity to give back and reach out to communities around the nation. As a lifelong skater, Jeff knows the struggles and hardships of the less fortunate in our society. He’s on a quest to pay his dues by helping others and inspiring them as well. An example of his work is shown through the construction of skateparks that he’s involved in.
As a Montana native, Jeff grew up to the serenity of the great outdoors but also experience the hardships that come with the territory. His means to escape came through skateboarding, which he now uses as an outlet to connect with the youth growing up in similar situations.
Jeff Ament makes it a point to know where he came from and to give the same gift of skateboarding to the younger generations everywhere that may not have the option to ride down to their local skatepark. Jeff’s latest project was on the barren Pine Ridge Reservation located in South Dakota.

Tell us something we don’t know. Nyjah Huston continues to conquer. He has tacked on yet another Street League Stop and accumulated a purse of $150,000 to his pockets. He qualified first the other day and without a question of a doubt, he reigned supreme once again.
The greatest moment of the day may have been after he was announced the winner. With the title already in hand, he was guaranteed a Victory, but he still had one attempt left in the Big Section. It didn’t matter whether he landed it or wiped out, but he decided to pull out a flawless kick flip backside nose blunt right down the railing.
Bastien Salabanzi made his return to the country to place second with an earning of $40,000. If Bastien landed his kick flip frontside boar slide he may have had a chance to give Nyjah a run for his money. But nonetheless, this summer is going to be one hell of a ride.
